I didn’t take the straightest path to becoming a professional calligrapher. I actually went to grad school for my PhD in clinical psychology, spent years doing neuropsych testing… and then realized my heart wanted something different. When I finally had space to explore my creative side, I picked up a pen, discovered calligraphy, and fell in love.

After moving back to California, I turned that passion into a business and have spent the last decade growing Calligraphy Nerd into a joyful corner of the world where I get to mix elegant hand lettering with a playful, personal touch. Whether I’m adding names to wedding envelopes, engraving perfume bottles at luxury brand events, or teaching brush lettering to beginners, I pour heart and skill into every single letter.
